Another busy weekend at Forfar Curling Centre with the first ever Forfar Seniors Open played on Saturday and the RCCC Scottish Pairs Qualifiers played on Sunday.

FORFAR SENIORS OPEN:

8 rinks played off in two sections of 4. Playing 5 end games with short breaks in between the pace was fast and furious. After the three round robin games Jim Stevenson (Kirkcaldy) topped section 1 and Mike Ferguson (Forfar) topped section 2. The final went down to the last 2 stones with Jim emerging victorious winning 5-4.

RCCC SCOTTISH PAIRS QUALIFIERS.

8 teams played off in two section of 4. After the round robin games Gordon Craik & Stewart Stark finished top of section one and George Paterson with son Craig skipping emerged top of section two. Hopefully both will go on to represent Forfar at the Scottish Pairs Finals in Stranraer.
