Skate UK is open to skaters aged 5 to 16 years. We deliver the National Ice Skating Association (NISA) approved Skate UK program which is set out to teach the fundamental skating skills and ensure continuous progression is achieved. It's a great way to learn how to skate away from the busy public sessions. Our instructor is an approved NISA coach who has experience of delivering the program for a number of years. The Skate UK course is divided up into 10 grades and each grade must be achieved before moving onto the next.

Our Learn to Skate course runs on a block basis with most blocks being six weeks duration. This is to ensure continuity and allow you to progress through the Skate UK levels at your own pace. Each session lasts for an hour and is split into half hour of group tuition and half hour of practice time.

Once you have joined the Skate UK program, our coach will assess your ability and you will be put into a group which best suits your capabilities. The Skate UK course is a perfect starting point for beginners and also caters for intermediate skaters. Whether you simply want to learn how to skate around the rink with ease or take a competitive approach to the sport; whatever your goal is, we can help you achieve it!
