We are delighted to announce several new curling competitions for season 2012-13. Many of these new competitions have been arranged following requests from members. Please support the competitions.

• FORFAR SENIORS OPEN: 10TH & 11TH NOVEMBER, 2012. As per RCCC rules open to all curlers aged 50 by 30th June, 2012. Teams can be male, female or mixed. Entry Form here: FORFAR SENIORS OPEN ENTRY FORM.

• OPEN MIXED DOUBLES: With mixed doubles potentially one of Curling's Olympic disciplines it is time to get practicing this fast and fun style of curling. The competition will be played as per the RCCC Scottish Mixed Doubles rules. Format & Date to be confirmed once entry numbers are known.

• THE FORFAR KNOCKOUT: Aiming to be the major knockout competition for clubs who play out of Forfar Curling Centre. Currently we don't have one major knockout competition and it is time to put that right. The competition will be played throughout the season with one rink from each club fielding a rink with a maximum of 2 substitutes allowed. All players must come from the same parent club.

• OPEN FORFAR TRIPLES: A spin off from the highly popular Area 9 Top Ten Challenge. 3 players in each rink, 2 stones over 6 ends. Format will depend on numbers entered but looking to run on a league basis spread throughout the season.
