Ice skating is a great experience whatever your age or ability and here at Ice World we pride ourselves on the warm welcome and friendly atmosphere you can experience. With strong family traditions we welcome skaters old and young with a variety of programmes including skating lessons, disco sessions and family skating sessions.

With experienced skaters stewarding the sessions anyone who visits the rink can enjoy their skating in a relaxed yet safe environment. Once you have worked up an appetite on the ice grab a bite to eat in our cafe/ lounge where you can choose from a selection of snacks. The lounge is also the venue for our off-ice children's, teenage and adults party packages.

SESSION TYPES

General- General skating sessions take place in a relaxed environment so that you can develop your skating. Due to the laid-back atmosphere of these sessions they are also a great way for the whole family to build up confidence on the ice in a safe environment. These sessions are popular with skaters of all ages and abilities.

Family Skating Session: Back by popular demand Friday night from 5.30pm to 7.30pm designed specifically with families in mind. Family meal deals available for only £30 (2 adults & 2 kids or 1 adult & 3 kids) includes skating, meal & skate hire.  

Disco: The Disco session takes place every Friday night from 8.30pm to 10.30pm, disco lighting, high beam lighting, haze machines, all the latest chart music and the occasional themed night.

Parent & Toddler: This session is designed for children 18months to 5 years. It is aimed at building your child's confidence and improving co-ordination whilst having lots of fun with toys on the ice. Please see the coaching section for more information.

Skate UK Learn to Skate: This certified programme is open to children and teenagers aged between 5 and 16 years. It offers 30 minutes group tuition with our NISA qualified resident coach. It is open all abilities and is a great introduction to ice skating. Please see the coaching section for more information.

Adult Session: Our adult classes have been developed so that you can learn to skate with people your own age at your own pace. The Skate UK learn to skate course is taught at these sessions to ensure consistency and progression. Please see the coaching section for more information.
